THE WHITNEY MUSEUM
NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Andy Warhol once said, "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes."
Following our client's uber private party previewing the pop artist's retrospective exhibit at the Whitney Museum of American Art, we made sure to extend the attention-grabbing orchids' spotlight beyond their 15 minutes. How else did we help bring nature's canvas to life?
After we removed and restyled the large arrangements into petite bouquets of light and love, we delivered a bounty of joy to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge Jerome L. Greene Family Center. This local non-profit organization provides a safe space for cancer patients and their families to go through treatment in a home-like atmosphere and offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in and around Manhattan.
The staff and volunteers understand that for many people, treatment at New York City's medical centers provides the greatest hope, but requires that they are far from home, adding the additional burden of lodging expenses. Hope Lodge consists of private guest rooms and communal spaces that help guests feel at home. In the lounges, demonstration kitchen, terrace, and family visiting rooms, families and patients can gather to support one another during the difficult treatment process.
Vibrant orchids and anemones add an extra special touch to help lift spirts and provide an immediate spot of hope and cheer for those going through treatment.
