Maison De Mode's co-founders Amanda Hearst and Hassan Pierre collaborated with Interior Designer Sasha Bikoff to curate the ultimate pre-Oscars win at the second annual Sustainable Style Gala. Follow that flower to see how our bevy of blue hydrangea, ranunculus and lisianthus made for an award-winning tablescape, and later brought the joy of the Oscars weekend to our Los Angeles neighbors in need.
And the award goes to... Congratulations to Maison de Mode and Sasha Bikoff for designing the most sustainable of events from top to bottom. From Sasha’s vision for disco dots with Econyl's floor covering to the lovely Lenox vases we used for the lush florals, there was so much care put into how to make this an eco-responsible Oscars affair honoring Dr. Jane Goodall and thought leaders in the world of sustainability. All Repeat Roses flowers were repurposed and delivered to two local facilities in LA where the recipients are overjoyed to receive such kind gestures of beauty. We were greeted with hugs and a receiving line that practically had our team in tears. The beautiful blooms were be enjoyed at their Oscars viewing party and the week ahead, and later picked up for composting and recycling in order to divert over 550 pounds from winding up in landfill. Giving back to People and to Planet...it’s what we do, and we’re so touched by everyone we connected with on this very special sustainability-focused event who work so hard to shine a light on sustainable style.
