Shining A Light on Women's Health at The Massachusetts Conference for Women

We teamed up with Hologic to amplify the influence of women giving back to People and Planet this month at the Massachusetts Conference for Women, where Amal Clooney, renowned philanthropist and human rights lawyer, delivered a keynote address in a power-packed lineup of inspirational speakers ranging from Elizabeth Gilbert, Aly Raisman and Shawn Anchor to Jesmyn Ward, Cepeleste Headlee and Maysoon Zayid.

Our signature Blossom Bar activation was designed to align with Hologic's mission to put women's health first. Empowered women empower women, and this was certainly the case at the Boston Convention Center where attendees' positive energy helped make a huge social impact across the community. 200 bright and beautiful floral arrangements were designed and delivered to four local non-profit organizations, all of which are committed to empowering women in Boston to live healthier lives. The hand-picked happy colors helped lift spirits to provide an immediate emotional health boost and a much-needed spot of light for women and children who may be experiencing dark days.

Together, Hologic's activation guests collectively made a significant positive and meaningful difference in the lives of others who will benefit most in the community and launched a major ripple effect across the city of Boston, including deliveries to the Crossroads Family Center, Boston IVF, Victory Programs, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center. We were in awe of the thoughtful, hand-written notes of inspiration the attendees crafted with so much love (pictured). The beauty of their floral arrangements immediately began to work their flower magic by spreading happiness, alleviating worries, and delivering a spot of hope for people and patients who might be in distress, experiencing trauma or facing a challenge. Not only did women enjoy a creative break from the business of the day, but they were able to give back to People, and give back to the Planet as part of the Repeat Roses Blossom Bar's zero-waste experience. After the flowers were twice-loved, they were recovered for composting and the vases were collected for recycling, therefore diverting over 850 pounds of waste from winding up in landfill. A sunny give-back thanks to the Hologic team and hundreds of women banding together to make a positive difference on a cold day in Boston.
