Our hearts went out to one of our California couples while everyone patiently waited to hear whether their wedding was taking place or not. When the country club venue was lost to the wildfire and the decision was made to relocate the entire celebration to Las Vegas, we saw our industry at its finest.
The Bella Vita Events team put an emergency plan into action, and within days, our couple was safely married in Nevada thanks to the determination of every vendor and guest to change course to see this special couple's treasured day come to fruition. We were honored to be part of their wedding experience and happy they could help give back to the Las Vegas community, their new destination for this special memory making occasion. Flowers from the wedding were repurposed and donated to The Shade Tree.
Given the magnitude of the fires and number of people displaced and now homeless, it was an especially poignant match. The Shade Tree facility recognizes that homelessness is a community problem that impacts everyone. Operating under the belief that all children are victims due to their lack of choice and mobility, the facility provides a safe shelter to homeless and abused women and children in crisis. The programs at The Shade Tree are designed to promote stability and dignity and support every woman and child in becoming self-sufficient.
We're honored to have played a small role in this couple's wedding weekend while they remained so hopefully, grateful and generous during such tragedy. Special thanks to the Bella Vita Events and The Hidden Garden teams for their energy, efforts and beautiful work for this wedding couple.
